Dr. Stephen T. Chan
佐人博士

 

陳佐人博士現任美國西雅圖大學神學系副教授。畢業於中文大學崇基神學組。1989年赴美,於芝加哥大學神學院進修,獲神學博士,1996起至今,任教於美國西雅圖大學神學系,並出任美國歸正學院教務長。兼任香港「漢語基督教文化研究所」學術委員,《道風︰漢語神學學刊》編委。 另翻譯基督教神學書籍:《現代神學家 廿世紀基督教神學導論》[The Modern Theologians: An Introduction to Christian Theology in the Twentieth Century. Ed. by David Ford. 2nd Edition. Blackwell.] (2005);《宗教改革運動思潮》(增訂版,2006;首版,1991);《以賽亞書注釋 (二卷)》(上冊1991, 下冊1994);《神學第一步》(1991)。其學術著作有:

陳牧師与家人現定居於美國華盛頓州西雅圖市之貝威爾區。

Dr. Stephen Chan was born in Taiwan and raised in Hong Kong. He became a Christian in Hong Kong in 1975, and studied theology in the Theology Division, Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1989, he pursued graduate theological studies at the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. He was ordained by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in 1994, and pastored a new Chinese mission church in Chicago, which outreached especially to mainland Chinese students, scholars and immigrants. He received his Ph.D. in theology from Chicago in 1998, and currently is Associate Professor of Theology & Religious Studies at Seattle University, Washington, U.S.A.

Rev. Chan is a frequent speaker in evangelistic meetings for mainland Chinese students in major universities, such as U.C. Berkeley, Stanford, Columbia, and Harvard. Besides teaching and preaching, he also serves in the following Chinese institutes and Christian organizations: Dean, Reformed Institute of Christianity and 21st Century. Member of Academic Council, Institutes of Sino-Christian Studies, Hong Kong; Editorial Committee, Logos and Pneuma: Chinese Journal of Theology,  Editorial Committee of Christian Life Quarterly. He served in local churches in Seattle and as voluntary pastor of Bay Area Reformed Evangelical Church.
