COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will introduce and overview basic theological tenets and themes of Old Testament from the perspectives of Covenant and historical narrative. Special attention will be made to relate Old Testament teachings to Reformed faith, and contemporary Christian living in today’s world.

課程簡介︰本課程會引介与綜覽《舊約》之主要神學要素与主題，我們將以聖約 (Covenant) 与歷史性之敘事体 (Narrative)作為主要之方法論，並會強調《舊約》神學觀念与改革州信仰与當今基督徒生活之關係。[英語授課，不設中文傳譯]

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will survey major theological responses to the problem of suffering in Christian tradition. Furthermore it will explore new way of understanding of the problem from biblical exegesis and theological ideas. Special attention will be made to general ideas of Reformed theology related to the topics.

課程簡介︰本課程將會綜覽一般神學對苦難問題之回應，再以《聖經》、神學与牧養之角度來探討回應苦難問題之新角度。本課程亦會涉獵改革宗神學与苦難問題之相關觀念。

COURSE: Christian Mysticism: History and Typology

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will survey the development of mysticism in Christian tradition, including studying major church fathers and their main ideas. We aim to redefine and understand a proper idea and nature of Christian mysticism, which is more biblically based and faithful to the Christian tradition. Special attention will be devoted to examining the works of Augustine and some other foundational figures. The course will conclude with reflection of the general mystical trends in today’s world and Chinese churches.

課程簡介︰本課程將會綜覽西方基督教歷史中之「神秘主義」之源流，包括主要之教父与思想。我們會特別注重奧古斯丁与一些奠基性人物，嘗試從其著作与思想來重新理解与定義何謂基督教之「神秘主義」。本課程之目的是嘗試重新定義一種本於《聖經》与合符基督教傳統之「神秘主義」，並以之來檢討目前流行於教會間与文化中之「神秘主義」熱潮。
